<br />Lisa McVicker moves for a resolution that the South Platte Basin Roundtable <br />strongly SUppOltS an effort to look at alternatives to move forward on securing the <br />10,825 ac ft needed for CO to be in compliance with the 3 state endangered <br />species act; <br />Les Williams seconds; <br />Discussion: Shimmin: this resolution is supporting a concept; the application must <br />still be completed per the IBCC/CWBC mles <br />Arkansas and metro is moving forward similarly; <br />V oice vote: approval of resolution <br /> <br />2) Tracy Bobet with the Greenway Foundation: presentation on Chatfield <br />Reallocation: planned application that would focus on ecosystem restoration and <br />operation of future uses of reservoir <br />3) Ovid Reservoir: Jim Yahn <br />GASP: 98 water right: 5770 ac ft of storage; reservoir is near Julesburg; since <br />GASP broke up, a group from District 64 Reservoir CO (Sterling area) has <br />gathered pledges of over $1 million to purchase the water from GASP; <br />Benefits: wildlife recovery; well augmentation; <br />5) Greg Kernohan of Ducks Unlimited: <br />Purchase of project 7 miles upstream ofNE border; potential to act in conjunction <br />with the Tamarisk plan and river recharge project; plan includes 3-6 high capacity <br />wells; the project is under $1 million <br />--could use project money as matching funds: purpose is to protect water rights <br />along the South Platte and restoration; similar to the Tamarisk Ranch Project <br /> <br />VI: Next meeting set for Tuesday, January 9 <br />Bill Jerke announces that because of scheduling conflicts with the Weld County <br />Services facility in the past, he has reserved the room we use for our meetings for <br />the second Tuesday of every month fi-om 4 pm to 8 pm. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourns at 7:30 pm <br /> <br />4 <br />
