Mary Lou: Process could result in coming up with mles in how we work together;
thinking more in terms of opening up relationships to one another so we would be more
likely to have kind of conversation to work together in interest based dialogue instead of
positional bargaining; for example, what will our methodology be:

Burt: applicability of this kind of facilitation... does this happen in the capital? @

Mary Lou: Danish parliament has written this into their manner of coming up with
recommendations something similar;

Hecox: IBCC comments; groups here represent an interest.. .not a constituency...if we
take a vote at IBCC, what weight does this hold? Nada. Legislature is other; this body is
in much the same way.

Knudsen: Out of SW ASI I there were observations and findings that peltained to this
basin; it would be worth it to take a look at these recommendations and what is being
proposed, and use some of these sections to focus upon and then to ascertain in our small
groups our agreement on these findings; this could serve two purposes and to help us
prepare for SW ASI II; then as that comes out, we can look at the gap we have to
understand what we have to meet.

Mary Lou: would be helpful if there were a subcommittee to work with facilitators to
come up with what would be useful for these facilitations.

Eric: Focus on closing chapters of SW ASI and serve as focus for some of the issues we
have, could be better focus that conflicts within group;

Jerke: Next question: Show ofhands...who wants to do this? Show of hands. . . majority

Burt: How to measure success: do we come up with any new creative ideas other than
"build more reservoirs/conserve water"

Jerke: Probably won't be able to see that for awhile.

Shimmin: List of9 shared values in SW ASI report: Do we share those values? Could be
a good focus that is directly related to what has been done and where we go;

Kelly? from SW ASI: Go through SW ASI objectives that have been developed statewide,
then go through key findings; Read Section 9 of SW ASI I and Section 11 of SW ASI I
report.
Send link in advance;
Consensus for next meeting

Next meeting date: Tuesday, June 13:
Southwest Weld Building where we have met previously.
4pm

6
