The purchase of one share of Jackson
Lake reservoir water will help assure that sufficient
augmentation water is available. The cost of this
alternative is $127,500, and it is the preferred
alternative.

The Selected Project

The Gill LLC plans to construct alternative #3. Features of this
alternative are as follows:

1. Construct up to four new recharge ponds with small earthen
dams, on non-irrigated farm ground.

2. Drill a 7.S cfs recharge well within 100 feet of the South
Platte River.

3. Construct a IS-inch diameter pipeline between the recharge
well and a privately controlled ditch lateral which will
feed the ponds. This pipeline will be 3,500 feet in length.

4. Purchase one share of Jackson Lake Reservoir water.

5. Install measuring devices on all features of the project.

The general locations of these features are shown in Appendix B.

Water Rights

The owners of the Gill LLC have 718 shares of Johnson and Edwards
Ditch water (30.2 cfs), and 40 shares of Lower Platte and Beaver
Canal water (8.7 cfs), producing total average diversions of
2,200 acre-feet from the South Platte River. They also own 15
shares of Morgan-Prewitt and 13 Private Rights of Riverside
Reservoir water.

The 3 owners of the Gill LLC also have decrees on 4 wells used
for irrigating a total of 910 acres. These wells have been
augmented through GASP in prior years. The Gill LLC diverts on
average approximately 1,200 acre-feet of water per year through
these 4 wells. Total average annual diversions for the Gill LLC
shareholders are 3,400 acre-feet.

Feasibility Study
FL Gill H20 LLC Aug Project
February 2003

5
