This alternative was rejected

d.) Alternative IV, involving two diversions, is the same as Alternative III with the inclusion
of a diversion for Marshall-Roberts. It carries the same drawback described by Mr.
Blakeslee.

e.) Alternative V, involving two permanent diversion structures, combines the Marshall-
Roberts and Williams into one structure at Mt. Harris and the second for Walker and Shelton,
where the Walker ditch diverts from the original streambed. Provision for vessel and fish
passage will be provided at both structures. Presently the ranchers build a gravel dam across
the present channel to divert water into the old channel and a second gravel dam to feed their
headgate. The plan is to move the river back to its original channel and construct a new
headgate to serve both ditches.

t) Alternative IIA, involving one diversion would be the same as Alternative II except the
Gibraltar Ditch would not be included.

6
