Section 6 of Chapter 265 of the 1994 Session Laws (Volume 2, page 1527) <br />authorized the Board to contract for services and expend up to $50,000 continue <br />the Small Dam Site Reconnaissance Program. SB 94-029 was approved May 31, <br />1994. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. Small Dam Site Reconnllkcmnce Program - continuation. The COlorado <br />water conservation board is hereby authorized to continue its field reconnaissance study of <br />potential small dam sites in Colorado and to increase the level of technical assistance <br />available to small organizations interested in constructing small new storage facilities and for <br />rehabilitation or enlarging existing facilities. For such purposes, the COlorado water ' <br />conservation board is also authorized to contract for services and to expend not more than <br />fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) from the Colorado water conservation board construction <br />fund. <br /> <br />. Section 7 of Chapter 254 of the 1994 Session Laws (Volume 2, <br />page 1331) authorized the Board to expend up to $35,000 from the <br />Construction Fund for a recon study of potential small dam sites. <br />lIB 93-1273, which created the program, was approved June 6, <br />1993. <br /> <br />SECTION 7. Reconnlli~nce Study of potential small dam sites. The COlorado water <br />conservation board is hereby authorized to undertake a field reconnllk~ study of potential <br />small dam sites in Colorado. The COlorado water conservation board is hereby authorized <br />to expend not more than thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) from the Colorado water <br />conservation board construction fund for this purpose. <br /> <br />. Section 37-60-122 (1)(c) authorizes the Board to cause a feasibility report to be <br />prepared on proposed projects that may qualify for construction from the <br />construction fund. <br /> <br />. Section 37-'60-122(2) authorizes the Board to have the entity or agency select an <br />engineer to provide the professional'services needed to prepare the report. <br /> <br />3. Identify the specialized skills that are being purchased. <br /> <br />The vendor/contractorwill use the money to pUrchase water resources planning and <br />engineering services with fInancial analysis. <br /> <br />2 <br />
