<br />6.3 RESERVOIR OPERATIONS MODEL

<br />6.3.1 Model Inputs

<br />The model uses the following input
<br />
<br />· 1 percent chance exceedence balanced hydrographs (see Section 6.2)
<br />· Starting water surface elevation for the Taylor Park Reservoir (see Section 6.3.3)
<br />· Stage-Storage capacity relationship for Taylor Park Reservoir
<br />· Stage-Discharge relationship for Taylor Park Reservoir
<br />
<br />The stage storage relationship and stage discharge relationships for both the low level outlets and the
<br />spillway were based on information provided by the Bureau of Reclamation (e-mail communication with
<br />Coli Stanton USBR on 1/16/2004).
<br />
<br />6.3.2 Model Reservoir Outlet Operation
<br />
<br />Taylor Park Reservoir is operated for irrigation supply and operations that are based on current year
<br />water needs and concerns. The Taylor Park Reservoir outlet outflow was determined using the stage
<br />outflow relationship for the low-level gates and spillway and general operations guidelines. Portions of the
<br />general operations guidelines (Stanton, 2004) include:
