A U.S. Filter Memcor Model 6M10C micro-filtration unit is housed in
the treatment building, and is the principal means of treating the raw water. The water
treatment building has been expanded once previously. It is located on the east bank of the
River on the west side of Cree Court, in the NW % of Section 28 T 4N-R71W. The unit is rated
at the following production rates:

Average summer production >15 degrees Centigrade - 36 gallons per minute
Peak summer production >15 degrees Centigrade ---40 gallons per minute
Average winter production >1 degree Centigrade -32 gallons per minute
Peak winter production >1 degree Centigrade - 36 gallons per minute

These production rates are net rates for the unit, after reasonable allowance for routine air
backwash, so that the 24-hour production rate for any of the conditions indicated is the above
gpm rate multiplied by 1,440.

Periodically, depending on head loss across the filter membranes, a Clean In Place (CIP)
backwash is required which consists of a sequence of low Ph and high Ph water delivered to the
membranes. The waste from this backwash is conveyed to a neutralization tank where it is
treated, if necessary, to attain the appropriate Ph for discharge to an adjacent percolation pond.
There is no design discharge of any sort to the River.

1
