North Platte Basin Roundtable Meeting 4-4-06

Public Education and Outreach
Kent reminded the Roundtable that we should begin to think about how we want to
address our directive to facilitate public education and outreach as outlined in our
purpose. It was noted that we could organize an educationlinformation booth to present
at community events. We might consider hosting community presentations addressing
some of our impOliant issues. Point was brought up that it might be beneficial to do some
intra and inter basin educational presentations. Example given that Orchard Mesa, in
lower Colorado Basin group, is providing educational presentations to upper Colorado
Basin group. We need to start thinking about and discussion how we want to address
education and outreach.

Future Meetings
Should we schedule regular meetings? Do members want to meet every month on a
certain date? IBCC Charter won't likely be accepted until mid-May or sometime before
legislature adjourns. Suggestion made that we don't need to have another meeting till
June after a May decision has been made.

In the interest of educating ourselves as Roundtable members, there seems to be a lack of
knowledge internally regarding the North Platte Decree. Group decided to invite Eric
Wagner to give a presentation on constraints and opportunities related to the decree.

Next meeting, please consider volunteering to serve in Roundtable positions of Vice-
Chair and Recorder and think about how to set up regular meeting dates. We should also
discuss and consider u\1lding needs so we will be prepared to request u\1lds if they
become available.

Next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 1 from 3-5 pm at the Forest Service.
