<br />ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION <br />SOUTH SIDE DITCH COMPANY <br />ARTICLE 1. <br /> <br />The corporate name of the Company shall be South Side Ditch Company. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 2. <br /> <br />The objects and purposes for which the Company is formed are as follows: <br /> <br />A. To acquire the canal and lands situated in Larimer County in the State of Colorado, <br />heretofore owned and operated by the Company, its assigns and successors, together with all <br />rights, rights-of-ways, privileges, franchises, water rights, appropriations of water from tha Big <br />Thompson River and its tributaries, appropriations of seepage and other water from what is <br />known as Ryan Gulch, Ryan Gulch Stream, and all flumes, structures, headgates, appliance and <br />facilities connected therewith and appurtenant thereto, to operate and develop the said canal and <br />to apply the water diverted thereby to the cultivation of lands owned by the stockholders of this <br />Company and by other persons who may become stockholders of the Company from time to <br />time, along and adjoining the canals ofthe Company and all laterals belonging to the Company. <br /> <br />B. To acquire reservoirs and reservoir sites and construct and build reservoirs for the <br />storage of water to be used in connection with the system of the Company and also to acquire the <br />property and the necessary ditches and laterals for the carrying and distributing of water to said <br />reservoirs, and also to acquire, own and maintain all property and necessary ditches and laterals <br />for the discharge, delivery and distribution of the water stored in said reservoir or reservoirs to <br />the lands of any and all stockholders in the Company or for any other surface rights or beneficial <br />use in connection with the irrigation of any lands to which the Company may see fit to apply said <br />water. <br /> <br />C. To make and acquire further appropriation of water for irrigation through and by <br />means of said canals from the Big Thompson River and its tributaries, including Ryan Gulch <br />Stream and from floods, storms, and seepage water from Ryan Gulch or from any other place <br />
