<br />Draft <br /> <br />Pete Kasper stated that he farms 200 acres of hay, oats, corn and raises steer in the North <br />Fork of the Gunnison, He has served on the CRWCD for 8 years. He has been involved <br />with both the SWSI process and the GMUG Pathfinder process. He is a water rights <br />holder and has been both a Board member and manager of the Overland Ditch. <br /> <br />Dixie Luke stated that she is 4th generation of a ranching family in the Hotchkiss area. <br />They own a number of water rights on the North Fork. They have been involved in <br />opposing the CWCB instream flow filings and desires to be involved with this. While <br />she has limited technical expertise, she is a good listener and good at communicating <br />with communities. She is committed to the resources of the community. <br /> <br />Hugh Sandburg stated that he is indeed also available for the industrial seat. He runs a <br />cow-calf operation near Cedar Ridge. He is President of the Delta County Farm Bureau. <br />He was involved in the Black Canyon litigation and with the Colorado Compact and <br />federal agencies. He believes water is the most important issue in the West. <br /> <br />Ron Shaver stated that he was raised in Eastern Oregon on a cattle ranch. Now he owns a <br />fruit farm and horse ranch near Cedar Ridge. He has a BS/BA in business administration <br />and was in the Marine Corp. He is bothered by the amount of water that is going down <br />the Gunnison that is not being used at all. He is part of the planning effort for the Grand <br />Mesa Project on Surface Creek. <br /> <br />Mike Alberg stated that he is a member of the UVWUA Board. He farms 1600 acres of <br />sweet corn, pinto beans and alfalfa. He could also do industrial because he owns and <br />operates a sweet corn processing plant. <br /> <br />Eric Hecox stated that there was no 2/3rds on the recreational run-off. Bill Trampe <br />stated that the group would return to that after handling the rest of the designated at-large <br />seats. <br /> <br />Mike Berry asked if all of the agricultural candidates were interested in also applying as <br />water rights holders. Bill Trampe stated that hearing no no's, any applicants not selected <br />for the agricultural position would be added to the remaining at-large seats. <br /> <br />The roundtable voted & the votes were collected. <br /> <br />Industrial At-Large Representative <br /> <br />Bill Trampe asked if there were additional industrial candidates. Rorak Kiklevich <br />requested to be added as a candidate. <br /> <br />Mr. Kiklevich stated that he works as the mountain manager for the ski area in Mount <br />Crested Butte. He lives near Almont. He is a graduate of Western State College. He <br />believes snowmaking at the ski area gives a good aspect of industrial use that is important <br />to the valley. <br /> <br />8 <br />
