Rehabilitation or replacement of existing facility. Two separate dirt ditches
(Number Six and Boss Ditches) that are nearly parallel for much of their length and
serving adjacent landowners will be consolidated into a single pipeline

4. General location of the project. (Please include county, and approximate distance and
direction from nearest town, as well as legal description, if known. The heading will be
in Montezuma County on the Mancos River near the southwest edge of the Town of
Mancos. (12 S 737962E 4136026N).
5. Please provide a brief narrative description of the proposed project including purpose,
need, facilities, type of water uses to be served and service area. Attach separate sheet,
if needed. The Boss DiUi.h and thEt Number Six Ditch will.be combined as th,

Ditch-,-- The purpose of the consolidation is to increase efficiency of water delivery
to the service area and to allow participation in the Salinity Control Project
underway in the Mancos Valley. Benefits of the pipeline project include reduction
in water loss through ditch seepage and evaporation, elimination of ditch
maintenance, and production of pressure for more efficient on-farm irrigation
water application and delivery of winter livestock water, The service area will
remain as mapped in the figure at the end of this document.
6. Will the acquisition of additional water rights be necessary? No. Diversion point
changes to consolidate the ditches have been requested of the Division Seven
Water Court using existing water rights,
