<br />Chris Moore will facilitate the meetings. <br /> <br />Charge: <br /> <br />Form the IBCC Compact Charter <br /> <br />The chairmen of the Colorado house and senate agricultural committees have appointed <br />themselves to IBCC. They are Jim Isgar (senate) and Kathleen Curry (house). <br /> <br />Meetings are public and open. The first meeting is Friday Feb 3. The Governor has appointed <br />the following members to the IBCC Committee. <br /> <br />1. Eric Kuhn, Colorado River Water Conservation District <br />2. Melinda Kassen, Trout Unlimited <br />3. Rita Crumpton <br />4. T. Wright Dickinson <br />5. Wayne Vanderschuere <br />6. <br /> <br />Website has been improved: DNR homepage is: www.dm.state.co.us or you can do a Google <br />search for: Interbasin Compact process. <br /> <br />C. Discussion <br /> <br />D. Set Future Meetings and Agenda Items - It was decided that all future meetings would be <br />held on the fourth Monday ofthe month at 2:00 p.m at the Glenwood Springs Rec Center. <br /> <br />5. CSU Extension Services - Discussion of Services Available - Rod Sharp, CSU <br />Extension Agent (Liaison) <br /> <br />How CSU can help with educational component, as referenced in CRS ~ 37-75-106: <br /> <br />A CSU representative is tagged to every Roundtable <br />Every county but four have a CSU Cooperative Extension office (Pitkin, Lake, San <br />Juan and _ do not) <br />Rod Sharp is tagged to our Roundtable. He is an Agricultural Economist with CSU <br />Extension. <br /> <br />Problem: There have been budget cuts that impact the extension offices. Unclear now how <br />much help CSU can provide until it knows what is being asked of it. <br /> <br />6. Break into Subgroups. Louis Meyer made a recommendation that the group be <br />fragmented into six or seven smaller groups each with seven to eight people. Each group <br />would discuss an issue such as: water quantity, water quality, educational outreach, etc. <br />Outcome: It was decided that the subgroups would be formed at the start of each <br />meeting and would convene for 30 minutes.
