<br />IBCC Colorado River Basin <br />Minutes of Meeting on December 18, 2006 <br /> <br />1. Next Meeting: Monday, January 22, Glenwood Springs Community Recreation Center, 1:00 <br />to 4:00. <br /> <br />a. Agenda: Discuss the Shoshone call Agreement. Continued discussion of Water <br />Supply Reserve Account grant requests. <br /> <br />2. Upcoming meetings: <br /> <br />a. A working group was formed to develop a non-consumptive and consumptive needs <br />assessment for the Colorado Basin. The group will meet Friday, January 12, 2007, at <br />10:00 AM, Louis Meyer's office at Schmueser Gordon Meyer Consulting Engineers and <br />Surveyors, 118 West 6th Street, Glenwood Springs. <br /> <br />b. March 26,2007: Rod Sharp, CSU Extension, will present a workshop from 9:00 to 12:30 <br />on Understanding Agricultural Water Management, immediately prior to the March <br />CBRT Roundtable meeting. <br /> <br />c. Carolyn Tucker, Communication Director with Shell Oil, will make a presentation on <br />water needed for oil shale development, date tba. <br /> <br />1. Jim Pearce is now working with Shell. Formerly with the Colorado River Water <br />Conservation District, Jim made a presentation on the Green Mountain Reservoir <br />pump back at the June 2006 CBRT meeting. <br /> <br />3. Approve November 27 meeting minutes. The minutes were unanimously approved with the <br />following corrections. <br /> <br />a. Dick Proctor represents Mesa County, not the Grand Valley Water User's Association, <br />and the Grand Valley Water User's Association hydroelectric facilities should be <br />referenced as the Grand Valley Project. The Price Stubbs roller dam upstream of <br />Palisade on the Colorado River is being modified, not removed. Changes were made to <br />paragraph 9.e. on page 2 of the November 2006 minutes. <br /> <br />b. The 10825 Water agreement with Denver is set to expire 12/31/2009, and Denver <br />Water's commitment to release 5,412.5 acre feet from Williams Fork Reservoir will <br />terminate 12/31/2010. <br /> <br />4. IBCC Report: Carlyle Currier & Stan Cazier - No repOlt <br /> <br />a. Next meeting: February 2,2007, at the Holiday Inn near Chambers Road and 1-70 in <br />Denver by the airport. Eric Kuhn will discuss remaining water available under the <br />Colorado River Compact to fund the SWSI Gap. <br /> <br />5. Report from other Roundtables <br /> <br />a.
