Ma"" 14 05 03:18p

PC-2

970-4645928

p.2

Mike Serlet
February 1, 2005
Page 2

emergency spillway to solve the overtopping problems caused by ice in the winters,
allowing us to carry our full water right for power generation in the wintertime, and
repair or replace the Stokes Gulch Siphon.

The OMID is requesting consideration from the Colorado Water ConseIVation
Board for assistance in funding this feasibility study with a matching grant in the amount
of $15,000. It is our intention to take the results of the feasibility study to our landowners
for authorization to borrow enough money from the Colorado Water Conservation Board
to attend to the above-referenced items beginning with siphon replacement on November
1,2005, ifat all possible. The condition of the Stokes Gulch Siphon creates a sense of
urgency in this matter.

We would appreciate your consideration of this request and any assistance you
might be able to provide.

(;?;~

Rita Crumpton, Manager
Orchard Mesa Irrigation District

Ene.
