Presentation of Plans and Revised Cost Estimate
65% to 85% complete plan sets were passed out for reference and review to those in
attendance and provided for those not in attendance.

. Channel Plans and features (85% complete)
. Highway bridge and roadway plans (80% complete)
. Railroad bridge and spur track plans (65% complete)

The revised cost estimate is based on a detailed evaluation of the project elements as
they appear on the 65% to 85% complete project plans. This is a much more accurate
estimate than previously prepared since the previous estimate was based conceptual
designed project items. A 15% additional contingency is included with the current
cost estimate to account for adjustments that may need to be made during the fmal
phases of design. The railroad shoofly and extensive highway work were not
originally included in the previous cost estimate. It was pointed out that repairs for
any damage to county roads caused by the hauling of excess material off-site was not
included in the cost estimate.

2. Project Status

· FEMA CLOMR: CLOMR was submitted to FEMA in early December, 2001.
FEMA's response letter was received in early February, 2002 stating that they
had reviewed our information and would revise the city and county FIRM
maps upon completion of the project and submitting a LOMR.

.
