The Round Mountain Water and Sanitation District (RMWSD) provides water and waStewater
services to the residents of Silver Cliff and Westcliff~, in Custer County, Colorado. The towns
and county are represented as members of the Arkan~as Valley Interbasin Roundtable.

At its most recent meeting, the RMWSD Board of Directors unanimously adopted a motion .
approving the enclosed application for a Basin Acco~t Grant in the amount ofS120,OOO.00
from the Water Supply Reserve Account as created by Colorado Senate Bill 06-179.

The proposed project, fully supported by the towns, the county and the fire district, would
provide for the construction of a new well and assoc~ted improvements at what we call the
Gallery Site. The project would include a well permi~, water quality testing, production well,
electric supply, building, pump, gas treatment, chlorine contact chamber, and engineering.

A recent water system study funded by a Department! of Local Affairs (DOLA) grant and
completed by a civil engineering firm, the Crabtree Group, Inc., identified these proposed
improvements as being among the most immediately!essential and urgently needed within our
District for the health, safety, welfare, growth, and eConomic stability of both towns.
