<br />.z-". -." <br /> <br />in Sioux Falls, SD and may provide the CWCB additional information at the board <br />meeting. <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />Statewide <br /> <br />Floodplain Map Modernization Update: In April, the Floodplain Mapping <br />Coordinator attended two U.S. Corps of Engineers Albuquerque District levee <br />inspections in Southern Colorado. For more information please refer to the U.S. Army <br />Corps of Engineers Albuquerque District Office of Emergency Management Levee <br />Inspections located in this Directors Report. To address the changes that are occurring <br />within the FEMA and Corps levee program across the nation a Levee Seminar has been <br />planned to be held around the State. The announcement for the seminar has been <br />posted to the CWCB website. The Map Modernization team plans to inform the <br />communities throughout Colorado the implications of the changes that are occurring <br />and what to expect in the future. <br /> <br />The CWCB Floodplain Mapping Coordinator has attended the NFIP conference held in <br />Denver that was held at the end of April. Both the training and conferences have been <br />very helpful in maintaining knowledge of updates and changes that are constantly <br />taking place within the Map Modernization Program. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />FY07 Counties: <br /> <br />Mapping Activity Statements (MASs) have been created for Delta and Summit <br />Counties coordination with FEMA for finalization of the MASs is currently in <br />progress. Work is being done to obtain additional information from the <br />Colorado Springs and El Paso County in order to be able to create an MAS and <br />receive grant funding from FEMA for El Paso County. Coordination efforts <br />continue with Park County. Park County has requested additional data <br />describing the options available to them update their floodplain in developing <br />areas. In addition, Park County due to their very good GIS department they are <br />interested in pursuing options for providing in-kind value to the project. <br /> <br />The proposed scope of work for a Map Modernization website is currently being <br />reviewed by the State's contracting department. <br /> <br />FY 06 Counties: <br />Basemap data has been submitted to FEMA for Archuleta County, Weld County, <br />Teller County and LaPlata County. Finalization of the Fremont County and <br />Clear Creek County detailed studies continue to begin integration into the <br />DFIRM as a Physical Map Revisions (PMR).
