The construction of Lake Lee Dam[Diversion Structure was <br />awarded to Kiefer Concrete and Barker Construction, both out of Fort Collins, CO and in <br />anticipated to be complete by July of 2007. <br /> <br />15. Arkansas <br />Terms of Loan: $3,520,000 @ 3.50% for 30 yrs. <br /> <br />County: Chaffee/Custer/Fremont <br />Project Yield: 500 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The UAWCD has operated the North Fork Reservoir since 1979 for domestic, municipal, <br />industrial, recreational, and augmentation water supply. The reservoir is at elevation <br />11,400 feet and is located approximately 10 miles from Maysville on the North Fork of <br />the South Arkansas River. This project involves replacement of the outlet gate, <br />improved access, increased spillway capacity, seepage control, and raising the dam 15- <br />feet to achieve a storage capacity of 500 acre-feet. The project is located on Forest Service <br />property, which required a special use permit and an environmental assessment prior to <br />construction. The project has been awarded to ASI, Buena Vista, Colorado, who <br />commenced construction in August of 2006. The work at this time is limited to the <br />outlet, seepage control and spillway work. Enlargement of the reservoir will occur at a <br />later date. The project is 90% complete, with final completion scheduled for July of 2007. <br /> <br />16. Beaver Reservoir Company - Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: Severance Tax Fund <br />Water Source: Minnesota Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $153,750 @2.50% for 30-years <br />Rehabilitation <br /> <br />County: Gunnison <br />Project Yield: 1,620 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Reservoir <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Beaver Reservoir is located in Gunnison County at elevation 8,100-ft. The existing dam <br />is 113 feet high and has a storage capacity of 1,620 acre-feet. The reservoir is used to <br />store and regulate the release of irrigation water to a 3,400-acre service area. In 1958 <br />the Company built the reservoir, and in 1995 the Company borrowed $415,000 from <br />CWCB to install a liner to address seepage problems identified by the SEO. This project <br />consists of stabilizing the reservoir liner and to replace the hydraulic valve and gate on <br />the intake end of the outlet structure. The project is currently under construction by <br />Farnsworth Construction Company, Paonia, Colorado and is anticipated to be complete <br /> <br />51 <br />
