It consists of 1.727 acres, of which 150 acres arc inigated, and the remainder is in <br />dry-land pasture. The Ranch relics on two main revenue streams. cattle sales and hay sales. <br />Currently, the Ranch produces 300 tons of hay on the 150 acres, with 70% being available for sale <br />as horse hay. For inigation. the Ranch uses one alluvial weB that is 80 feet deep, in the Bijou Creek <br />alluvium of the Kiowa-Bijou Designated Ba'iin. Due to deterioration of tile casing pipe. the well <br />can only pump 250 gpm, and production has been reduced to 2 tons/acre or a total of 300 Ions <br />annually. This project involved drilling an 80.foot replacement well with 16" casing (40' sleel and <br />40' stainless steel), using Ihe rc-built pump from the existing well, and connecting the replacement <br />well 10 the existing system with 250 Ifofnew 6" pve piping.
