<br />Tape 2, Track 3 00:45:39 - 00:50:48 <br />Action: A motion was made by Don Schwindt and seconded by Keith Catlin to approve a <br />Basin Grant Request Application in an amount up to $7,700 from the Water <br />Supply Reserve Account to Goodman Point Water Association in the <br />Dolores/San Juan/San Miguel River Basin in Montezuma County for the <br />Goodman Point Water Association Environmental Report-Preliminary <br />Engineering Report. The Environmental Report (ER) and the Preliminary <br />Engineering Report (PER) are required by the USDA-Rural Development in <br />order to qualify for grant/loan funding, are necessary to negate any potential <br />damage to the environmental resources and cultural resources, and will provide a <br />preliminary "blueprint" of the proposed pipeline project to extend two domestic <br />pipelines by Montezuma Water Company into the Goodman Point area. Funding <br />will be contingent upon resolution of the items in the issues/additional needs <br />section of the application. The motion was approved unanimously (8-0). <br /> <br />Tape 2, Track 3 00:50:48 - 00:56:32 <br />Action: A motion was made by Don Schwindt and seconded by Eric Wilkinson to <br />approve a Statewide Grant Request Application in an amount up to $1,000,000 <br />from the Water Supply Reserve Account to the San Juan Water Conservancy <br />District in the San Juan River Basin in Archuleta County for land acquisition for <br />the Dry Gulch Reservoir, also known as the San Juan Reservoir, contingent upon <br />resolution of the issues raised in Staff s recommendation. Funding will be <br />contingent upon resolution of the items in the issues/additional needs section of <br />the application. The motion was approved unanimously (8-0). <br /> <br />Tape 2, Track 3 00:56:32 - 01:02:09 <br />Action: A motion was made by Eric Wilkinson and seconded by Carl Trick to approve <br />two South Platte Basin Grant Request Applications in an amount up to $130,000 <br />from the Water Supply Reserve Account to The Greenway Foundation in the <br />South Platte River Basin - Denver Metro Area to finalize the Chatfield Reservoir <br />Reallocation Environmental Impact Statement and Feasibility Report. The goal <br />of the study is to determine the feasibility of reallocating up to 20,600 acre-feet <br />of storage water from the Chatfield Reservoir to other authorized purposes <br />including municipal and industrial water supply, agriculture, and recreation and <br />fishery habitat protection and enhancement. Funding will be contingent upon <br />resolution of the items in the issues/additional needs section of the application. <br />The motion was approved unanimously (8-0). <br /> <br />Tape 2, Track 3 01:02:09 - 01:06:37 <br />Action: A motion was made by Carl Trick and seconded by John Redifer to approve a <br />Rio Grande Basin Grant Request Application in an amount up to $64,500 from <br />the Water Supply Reserve Account to Alamosa Riverkeepers in the Rio Grande <br />River Basin - Alamosa River in Rio Grande and Conejos counties for the Terrace <br />Reservoir Hydrologic Modeling, Site Survey, and Mapping Project. The Project <br />is a critical component of the Alamosa River Instream Flow Project, which will <br />purchase one or more senior irrigation water rights, place them into storage-and- <br />release plans at Terrace Reservoir, in order to restore the in stream flow and <br />improve the natural environment in the Alamosa River channel.
