Key Findings Regarding M&I Gap Analysis <br />South Platte Basin <br />• In the Northern subbasin many providers are pursuing <br />CBT; some caution is warranted as demand for CBT will <br />likely exceed available supply <br />• As CBT shares are transferred, the reliability of overall <br />remaining agricultural supplies will decrease <br />• Many providers planning on full use of other existing trans - <br />basin supplies; these projects will reduce supply availability <br />to meet future Grand County M&I, recreation and <br />environmental needs <br />• Upper Mountain areas rely on groundwater which is limited <br />by physical availability – Park County has and estimated <br />25,000 pre - 1972 platted lots which are not required to <br />provide augmentation <br />15 <br />Key Findings Regarding Agricultural Gap <br />South Platte 2030 demands <br />• Agricultural shortages throughout the entire basin <br />• Shortages difficult to address <br />– Lack of additional supplies <br />– Ability to pay <br />16 <br />8 <br />
