<br />~ <br /> <br />Scope of Services <br />Coal Creek Flood Protection Plan <br />Project Definition Phase <br /> <br />August 31, 2000 <br /> <br />Introduction <br /> <br />The Town of Wellington wants to plan, design and construct a multi-objective project with a major <br />component being flood protection for the portion of town within the Coal Creek Basin. As part of the <br />overall project, the following scope of services outlines a list of tasks for completing the Coal Creek <br />. Drainage Project, Feasibility Report, as required by the Colorado Water Conservation Board. <br /> <br />The Scope of Services meets the requirements for completing the floodplain and local drainage <br />portions of the overall project. As an outcome of the study, the following list of deliverable work <br />products will be prepared: <br /> <br />1) A Feasibility Report that meets the requirements of the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board, including definition of the project, feasible alternatives, estimates of cost and <br />town financial information; <br />2) An overall storm drainage master plan for the planning area of the Coal Creek Basin; <br />3) Aerial photography of the Town to complete the Master Plan and which will be <br />useful for additional future needs. <br /> <br />COAL CREEK FLOOD PROTECTION PLAN <br />PROJECT DEFINITION PHASE <br /> <br />Task 1 -Scoping Meeting. Additional Services Related to Prior Efforts and Proiect Meetings <br /> <br />The Nolte/EDRC team will conduct a project kick-off meeting to assist the Town in further defining <br />the scope of work and to outline channels of communication during the project. It is anticipated that <br />several entities will be represented at the meeting including: <br /> <br />1) The Town of Wellington; <br />2) Representatives of Nolte/EDRC; <br />3) The Colorado Water Conservation Board; and, <br />4) Other entities that the Town chooses to include. <br /> <br />At the kick-off meeting the team will make an informal presentation regarding the project schedule, <br />timing of the work products and the role of the project team and the Town in the project <br />development process. The anticipated outcome of the kick-off meeting is to further refine the project <br />scope, identify priorities and state the expectations for each of the entities involved. <br /> <br />NoltelEDRC will provide additional services related to work performed under the October 15, 1999 <br />contract between Nolte Associates, Inc. and the Town of Wellington.
