The dam failed May 2, 1998, and the reservoir <br />can not be used for storage. If the dam is not rehabilitated the Association will not be able to <br />regulate and deliver approximately 4000 acre-feet to meet the water needs of its shareholders in <br />1999. The Leroux Creek Water Users Association is a private company with 76 shareholders and <br />a service area of approximately 3000 acres. The Association is in the process of selecting an <br />engineering firm to complete the feasibility study and to prepare plans and specifications for the <br />project. Project construction will start in the fall of 1998, and be completed in 1999. Proposed <br />initial funding for the project consists of a CWCB Emergency Loan in amount of $300,000, a <br />$5,000 CWCB grant form the Severance Tax Operational Account, and $30,000 from the <br />Company. <br /> <br />Location Map <br />
