<br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDI:NG <br /> <br />CONCERNI:NG <br /> <br />RECOVERY PROGRAM FOR ENDANGERED FI:SH SPECI:ES <br /> <br />IN THE UPPER COLORADO RIVER BASIN <br />..-~. <br /> <br />FY 90 PROJECT NO. 9 <br /> <br />"YAMPA RIVER BASIN FEASIBILITY STUDY" <br /> <br />On August 30, ~989, the Recovery Implementation Committee <br />approved the FY 90 budget for the Recovery Implementation Program <br />for Endangered Fish Species in the Upper Colorado River Basin. The <br />"Yampa Basin Feasibility Study" (FY 90 Project No.9) is included <br />in the FY 90 budget in furtherance of the goals of the Program. <br />A description of the Study is included as Attachment ~, and is <br />incorporated into this memorandum. <br /> <br />The Study is a joint effort of the Recovery Program, U. S. <br />Bureau of Reclamation (Bureau), Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />(Board), and the Colorado River Water Conservation District <br />(District). This memorandum defines the terms and conditions for <br />conducting the Study jointly agreed to by these parties. <br /> <br />1. Funding. <br /> <br />A. The cost of the Study will include $300,000 for a <br />technical services contractor, and additional costs to be incurred <br />by the parties. The Study will be initiated in FY 90 and concluded <br />in FY 91 per Attachment 1. It is anticipated that the costs will <br />be divided evenly between FY 90 and FY 91, and that one half of the <br />funding will be provided in each fiscal year. <br /> <br />B. Sources of funding <br />contract are: Recovery Program <br />Conservation Board $100,000; <br />Conservation District - $100,000. <br /> <br />for the technical services <br />$100,000; Colorado Water <br />and Colorado River Water <br /> <br />c. The Recovery Program funding for the technical <br />services contract will be provided by the Bureau as part of its <br />annual contribution to the Program. This funding will be provided <br />in accordance with a separate agreement between the District and <br />the Bureau. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />APPENDIX A <br />
