<br /> <br />February 18, 2000 <br /> <br />IN ATTENDANCE: <br /> <br />Members: Larry Cerrillo, Russ Clayshulte, Glenn Graham, Dorothy Hatch, Janet Heiny, <br />Walt Knudsen, Roger Mlodzik, Matt Sares <br /> <br />Staff: Janet Bell, Michelle DeLaria, Roy Laws, Jeanie Rossillon, Jean Reince Schwartz <br /> <br />Observers: Dick Burrows, Sonya Cadle, Jean Ernstberger, Mike Fahy, Pamela Lawson (HIT) <br /> <br />WORK PROGRAM <br /> <br />Janet Heiny will include MGWRS data in next year's USGS data report. <br />Sharon Rafferty is working 2 wks/mo on creating maps of the Jeffco study. <br />Janet H. is working with Jonathan Caine on geologic map modifications to simplify <br />data for our purposes. <br />DATA <br /> <br />4 monitoring wells presently in use were used in the 70's. <br />Water level data from Conifer Safeway has been provided by Roger Mlodzik. <br />NITRA TE LEVELS <br /> <br />Nitrate/horse issue <br /> <br />Glenn Graham suggested calling the School of Veterinarian Medicine at CSU - 10 <br />gallons/day from a large animal (horse, cow). <br /> <br />Mike Fahy has data on the amount leaving animals (put together for a developer <br />doing a subdivision). <br /> <br />Roy Laws recently did a presentation to the BeC on: County's Role: Inspection of <br />Systems, ISDS regs. Advanced treatment system (nitrogen reducing system) - <br />permitted to do 40 such systems in the County. Twenty are installed to date. These <br />require maintenance. At this same presentation, Jim Dale spoke about renewable <br />permits - having a complete inspection of a system when a permit is renewed or a <br />home is bought or sold.
