<br />Red Mesa Dam Contract <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Task <br />1. Coordinate with the Division 7 Dam Safety Engineer to <br />utilize the inflow design flood estimates he has <br />performed to date and determine the spillway size <br />and associated reservoir freeboard for the current <br />dam and possible enlargements <br /> <br />2. Coordinate with the Dam Safety Engineer to determine <br />a reservoir breach analysis for possible change in <br />classification of the dam from Class II to Class I. <br /> <br />3. Evaluate repairs needed to the outlet works for the <br />current dam and changes if the dam is enlarged. <br /> <br />7. Prepare preliminary lans and costs for 2500 and 4000 <br />acre-foot reservoir to evaluate, along with th~ <br />water supply, th be enlargement size. A decision <br />would be made ba this data, whether to <br />enlarge the dam or just rehabilitation. <br /> <br />8. Prepare feasibility level plans and costs, based on <br />existing geotechnical data (SCS). The extent of <br />this work would be significantly reduced if the dam <br />is not enlarged. <br /> <br />9. Generally evaluate environmental issues to determine <br />potential major problems. Likely apply for a 404 <br />permit to begin the endangered species process to <br />secure a "squawfish allocation". <br /> <br />10.
