EWE will provide eng~neering <br />services, at a feasibility level, to evaluate the repair of and <br />possible enlargement of Red Mesa Dam. financially feasible <br />plan can be identified, more detailed tudI s such as plans and <br />specifications, would be conducted duro the pre-construction and <br />construction phase, which is not include this contract. <br /> <br />EWE understands that funds for t~' s engineering work would be <br />partially provid. ed by the Colorado. er Conservation Board (CWCB) <br />and will conduct this study to meet requirements. If a feasible plan is identified, most likely <br />construction funds will. be eted from the CWCB, HWE will <br />conduct the work in a manner a a sc dule suitable for the request <br />to the CWC~ in 4he fall of 19. - , <br /> <br />The general philosophy of the. feasibility study will be to <br />determine the plans and cost to rehabilitate the dam to meet <br />current dam safety stan~a ; then evaluate enlargement of the dam <br />in conjunction with the ehabilitation. The analysis and <br />evaluations will be d to the extent necessary to make <br />decisions. If information arises that shows the enlargement in not <br />feasible, the enlargement work will be discontinued and the <br />rehabilitation analysis will proceed only as far as necessary. <br /> <br />The tasks and the estimated hours to perform each task are listed <br />in the following table. As is explained below, if the work can be <br />performed in less time than listed in the table, the Company will <br />only be 'charged for actual hours worked. HWE will make every <br />attempt to minimize the time required to make the evaluations. <br /> <br />APPENDIX A <br />
