Task 1: Plan and Promote Workshops and Forums
This task will be used to dcvelop the program for each of the four Water Conservation Workshops (and the
two evening policy dialogues) and promotc the Workshops in advance of the evcnt. W c will dcvelop the
'vV orkshop programs working with our projcct team and thc local projcct sponsor, and vet thc program with
the Office prior to finalization.
'vV c will initiate the promotion of the Water Conservation Workshops with a "Save thc Date" email "blast" to
the local sponsor, our current emaillist (developed during the first phase of the project, which includes about
650 individual contacts), the State Legislator list, and other identificd and potcntially interested Workshop
attendces. We will also forward the "Save thc Datc" to our past attcndces so they can forward it (and
presumably promote it) to othcr intcrestcd partics. We will also support a mailing of the evening policy
dialogue im"itations to thosc individuals and entities without e-mail addresses.
Oncc the program for thc workshops and forums ha\"c been firmly established, we will promote them using e-
mail blasts and other appropriate advertising likely to include brief announcements at the various 1177 Basin
Roundtable mectings and SWSI meetings, advertising in thc Colorado Watcr Wisc Council quarterly
newsletter, and web-postings with the Colorado Foundation for Water Education, the CWCB, the EDO, the
project stakeholdcrs and other groups.
We will develop a printable Water Conservation Workshop Program for cach of the four \"Cnues that can be
mailed to the selected participants. This same program can be distributed at mcetings by the project
stakeholdcrs, mcmbcrs of the CWCB and EDO, etc. Thc websitc postings will includc the programs, and
links to workshop and forum contcnt such as agendas and lists of spcakers. As thc meetings progress,
information collect cd at the workshops and forums will be included in thc website posting so that prospcctive
audience mcmbers can better understand thc projcct.
The workshops and forums will be free of charge to anyone who wants to attend because the
issues and content to be discussed are considered vital to a healthy water resources planning
and management dialogue in our State.
Task 2: Share 1nformation at Workshops and Forums
At thc workshops and forums, we will providc attcndees with information that will help thcm use water more
efficientlv in their communities. Attendees will receive:
j
. Print cd materials from tcchnical experts presenting the Guidancc Document;
.
