Member of the American Water Works <br />Association (A WW A), the American Water Resources Association, the Association of American <br />Geographers, and the American Society of Landscape Architects. <br />.Natalie Brower-Kirton, Co-Secretary: Senior Water Conservation Specialist, Aurora Utilities <br />Over the past 6 years, as a Conservation Specialist for Aurora Utilities, Natalie has had the opportunity to <br />develop and coordinate a wide range of water conservation programs from an arumal Youth Water Festival, <br />Xeriscape Seminars, and Conservation Rebates to the City's Drought Management Plan. She has a B.A. from <br />the University of Colorado in Environmental Conservation and Theater. <br />.Jean Van Pelt, Co-Secretary: Conservation Outreach Coordinator, SE Colo. Water Conservancy District <br />Jean has developed and coordinates the District's water conservation plan and education program for the <br />demonstration xeriscape garden. She provides educational programs throughout the District, which <br />encompasses nine counties. She is a former member ofXeriscape Colorado's Board of Directors. <br />. John \Vright, Treasurer: Water Conservation Communications Consultant <br />John has been active in water conservation for some 20 years starting with his service on Denver Water's <br />Citizen Advisory Conunittee. Prior to consulting, he developed, implemented and managed A WW A's a ward <br />winning WaterWiser Website and progam as well as staffing A WW A's Water Conservation Division. He was <br />also a creator of and an advisor to the California Urban Water Conservation Council's H20use.org site. <br />.Michael Bauer, Water Conservation Specialist, Eagle River Water & Sanitation District <br />Mike has been active in water issues within the green industry for over 15 years, working in Cooperative <br />Extension with Oregon State University and Colorado State University. He has also owned his own landscape <br />management business. Mike's position with Eagle River involves irrigation efficiency, xeriscaping and indoor <br />water efficiency. He has B.S. in Agriculture and Environmental Studies and a M,S. in Agricultural Education. <br />.Stan Brown: President, Alameda Wholesale NurselY, Jnc. <br />Stan has worked in his family nursery for over 40 years. His industry service includes: Certified Nurseryman <br />#116, Colorado Nursery Association; Charter Chairman, Green Industries of Colorado, 1989-1996; Director, <br />Xcriscapc Colorado!; Director, South Suburban Parks Foundation; Past President, Associated Landscape <br />Contractors of Colorado; Past President, Colorado Nursery Association; and President, Landscape <br />Distribution Group, American Nursery & Landscape Association. <br />. Elizabeth "Liz" Gardener: Manager of Water Conservation. Denver Water <br />Liz was a long-time board member of both Metro Water Conservation, Inc. and ofXeriscape Colorado. She <br />held the vision for forming ajoint organization which became the Colorado WaterWise Council. She is also <br />a member of the A WW A Conservation Division and the WaterWiser advisory committee. She lives and <br />gardens in Denver. <br />. Bev Hutter: President, Hutter Wholesale Supply <br />Bev has lived in Colorado since 1966 and currently owns Hutter Wholesale Hardware, a supplier of <br />architectural hardware and designer kitchen and bath fixtures. He served on the Cherry Creek Valley Water <br />and Sanitation District Board of Directors for 18 years. With over 40 years experience in the building <br />industry, Bev realized early on the importance of sustainable design and the built green concept. He believes <br />in and is dedicated to responsible growth. <br />.Scott Winter: Conservation Specialist. Colorado Springs Utilities <br />Scott has been working in the green industry, public horticulture and water conservation for more than 12 <br />years. He was Garden Manager at both The Arboretum at Flagstaff in Flagstaff, AZ and Betty Ford Alpine <br />Gardens in Vail, CO. He has a Kansas State University 8.S, in Agriculture with an emphasis in horticulture <br />and landscape design. At Colorado Springs Utilities he is implementing water DSM programs, developing <br />educational materials and curriculum for water conservation, and developing and managing Xeriscape display <br />gardens. <br />2 <br />2/7/2006 <br />--- - <br />
