1.3 Coordination

During the preparation of the original study for the unincorporated
areas of Boulder County, the following were contacted: U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers (USACE), Omaha District; U.S. Geological Survey
(USGS), Water Resources DivisioD, Colorado District Office;
u.s. Weather Bureau; Denver Regional Council of Governments; Urban
Drainage and Flood Control District (UDFeD); ewes, Boulder County;
and the City of Longmont.

The final coordination meeting for the original study was held on
July 13, 1976, and attended by representatives of FENA, the study
contractor, and the county. Comments from county officials and
citizens were taken into account.

An initial coordination meeting for the revision of the original
study for the City of Boulder, was held in Boulder on July 30,
1981. This meeting, attended by representatives of the City of
Boulder, PENA, MSM/SP Group, UDFeD, ewCB, and Boulder County was
held to discuss the nature and purpose of the study and the scope
and limits of work.

The following agencies and individuals were contacted and supplied
information used in the preparation of this revised study: USGS;
USACE, Omaha District; CWCB; City of Boulder Engineering
Department; Boulder County Engineering Department; UDFeD; and
Colorado Department of Highways.

An initial coordination meeting for the original study for the Town
of Jamestown was held on February 25, 1977, and attended by
representatives of FEMA, the Mayor, several town council members,
and the study contractor to discuss the areas to be studied and
methods to be used.

A number of Federal agencies, including the SCS, the U.S. Forest
Service, the USACE, and the CWCB were contacted for available data.

A general information search was made at the State Historical
Society, the Denver Public Library, the Boulder County Courthouse,
and the Boulder Daily Camera for historical background info~tion,
available publications, and photographs of past floods.

The final coordination meeting was held on August 7, 1978, and was
attended by representatives of FENA, the study contractor, and the
town. All problems raised at the meeting have been solved.

An initial coordination meeting for the original study for the City
of Lafayette was held on February 18, 1977, with representatives of
the Federal Insurance Administration (PIA), the City Manager, and
Howard, Needles, Tammen &: Bergendorff to discuss areas to be
studied and methods to be used. The SCS, CWCB, the Boulder County
Courthouse, the USGS, and the State Historical Society were
contacted for available data.
