<br />3.1.1.3 Formally Classified Lands <br /> <br />Formally Classified Lands adjacent to the proposed project include the National Park Service Hovenweep <br />National Monument Goodman Point Outlier and the Bureau of Land Management Canyons of the Ancients <br />National Monument. The Goodman Point Outlier is affiliated to the main Hovenweep National Monument <br />sites located on the Utah-Colorado state line. Canyons of the Ancients is a culturally rich area afforded <br />special protection of its archaeological sites via legislative designation. No constmction activity is proposed <br />in Formally Classified Lands. Land Managers of the public lands and adjacent Native American Tribes will be <br />contacted by letter for their comments. <br /> <br />3.1.2 Environmental Consequences <br /> <br />The expected direct Environmental Consequences on Important Farmland, Prime Forest Land and Prime <br />Rangeland are expected to be minimal especially to farmland and rangeland. Because no Prime Forest Land <br />is within the proposed project there will be no impact to forests. <br /> <br />Installation of pipeline in tilled fields is proposed to occur only in a 200 meter mn at the northwest corner of <br />County Roads 17 and P and in a 400 meter mn at the corner of County Roads 16 and M. The constmction right <br />of way will be 30 meters; however disturbance will be less than that in most cases except in tank constmction <br />zones. Earth moving activities will create short term impacts during installation but will not remove the <br />agricultural parcel from long-term production.
