The Board noticed these proposed appropriations in March and <br />November 2006 and declared its intent to appropriate in January 2007. Detailed information <br />regarding these stream segments is available on the CWCB web site located at <br />htto:/ /cwcb.state.co. us/Streamandlake/new AooNotices.htm. <br /> <br />Water Division Stream Name County <br />2 Badger Creek Fremont <br />3 Alder Creek Saguache <br />4 Pauline Creek Saguache <br /> <br />As requested by the Board at the January 24, 2007 CWCB meeting, staff sent letters to the water <br />right holders located within the proposed in stream flow reaches to inform them: 1) the Board <br />formed its intent to appropriate the above-mentioned streams, 2) they have the opportunity to <br />comment in person before the Board at the March meeting or in writing, 3) if they choose, they <br />may formally contest these appropriations before the Board and 4) where on the CWCB website <br />they will find more detailed information. <br /> <br />In addition to these efforts, staff has been communicating with Terry Scanga, Manager ofthe <br />Upper Arkansas WCD and Dr. Timothy McLeod, a landowner along Alder Creek, to ensure that <br />all parties are aware of the appropriations. In accordance with the ISF Rules, staff mailed <br />noticed to the Fremont and Saguache County Commissioners and sent a notice to all on the <br />Instream Flow Subscription Mailing List. <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
