Caldwell for analysis of alternative water allocations,

The u.s. Fish and Wildlife Service's Final
Programmatic Biological Opinion for the Upper
Colorado River calls for 20,000 acre-feet of water
to be provided for four species of endangered
fish. The water will be made available to supple-

ment spring peak flows in the" IS-Mile Reach"
extending from the Grand Valley Irrigation
Company's diversion dam near Palisade, Colo.,
downstream to the mains tern's confluence with
the Gunnison River.
