<br />OOu710 <br /> <br />West Slope Comments <br /> <br />"In the years when flows in the Colorado River at the top of the 15-Mile Reach are less <br />than 12,900 cfs or greater than 26,600 cfs, no water will be provided. For those years <br />when the flow is between 12,900 and 26,600 cfs, an average of20,000 acre-feet will be <br />provided, and in some years less." <br /> <br />Please correct all the other references to the provision of 20,000 acre feet to be consistent <br />with this objective statement. Noted - correction will be made. <br /> <br />Ref. pg. 23 para 1, and Section 20307 #2, and para 4 the portrayal of the objective ofCFOPS to <br />deliver "average annual 20,000 acre-feet" is incorrect. The statement in paragraph 4: <br />"Throughout this report, the term "average annual 20,000 acre-feet" will be used to indicate the <br />target for this program." is incorrect. The remainder of the paragraph provides a correct <br />characterization ofthe objective of CFOPS. Please correct all occurrences. Noted - correction <br />will be made. <br /> <br /> <br />The modeling was based on diverting water to storage under <br />the priorities of any of the decrees and making releases for the endangered species from this <br />stored water. Determining the feasibili!Y...Qf diverting to storage for purposes of making releases <br />~~~~g~~~h~_~~~~~e~cuti~9m~~eonsev~~occa~ons. <br />Resolution of this matter is beyond the scope of this present study. <br /> <br /> <br />The Consultant Team thinks <br />this paragraph does make sense, but we are willing to further discuss this matter. <br /> <br />Ref. pg. 26 paras 2 and 3 change "Power releases made ..." To Power generation effected by..." <br />to reflect direct flow power generation which does not count against the "Division 5" fill of <br />GMR. Change "...are..." to "...is..." See Tables 5 through 9 for the release canacities used.
