i1

uuu,u~

"

. Commissioner Keys Office asked to see a copy of the proposed flow
recommendations and Argon's study
. Chris Karras is Commissioner Keys point of contact on this matter.
. We need to plan on visiting with her when in D.C.
. States should also plan on visiting with Commissioner Keys too if possible.

OTHER ISSUES:
. The Management Committee discussed extending the Upper Colorado RIP into
2008 to complete the capital construction projects, no added cost. This makes
sense and the San Juan RIP has had the same discussion_ It appears that except
for the power interests this has considerable support from the other states
. We discussed GCAMP; it was suggested that we do one of two things with
respect to replacing Barry Gold. First, we could follow the recommendation of
the NSF and have a senior scientist type like Barry plus hire a manager for the
GCMRC that has the necessary political skills to temper what GCMRC does.
Alternatively, we could expand the credentials that the senior scientist is hired
under (add water law and water rights, reservoir operations, power operations
etc. plus having the necessary science background). We need to prepare and
circulate a draft letter.
. Fax draft letter on 5-year review of the Coordinated Long-Range Operating
Criteria to Clayton and Leslie and they will consider responding as well. I have
completed this already.
