"Satellite monitoring system maintenance - appropriation.
(I) In addition to any other appropriation, there is hereby appropriated,
out of any moneys in the Colorado water conservation board
construction fund not otherwise appropriated, to the department of
natural resources for allocation to the division of water resources, for
the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2007, the sum of three hundred fifty
thousand dollars ($350,000), or so much thereof as may be
necessary, for renovation of existing gauging stations, replacement
of outdated collection platforms, and upgrading of transmission
components of the satellite monitoring system established and
operated pursuant to section 37-80-102(10), Colorado Revised
Statutes.
(2) The moneys appropriated in subsection (1) of this section shall
remain available for the designated purposes until they are fully
expended. ";

4) SECTION l4 would be changed to read as:
"SECTION 14. Colorado water needs and alternatives analysis-
appropriation.
(I) In addition to any other appropriation, there is hereby appropriated,
out of any moneys in the Colorado water conservation board
construction fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Colorado water
conservation board, for the fiscal year beginning July 1,2007, the
sum of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000), or so much thereof
as may be necessary, for the board to evaluate water availability in
the Colorado River basin and its tributaries, in order to help address
the water supply gap between proposed water projects and the total
amount of water needed to meet Colorado's future water demands.
The Board will work in full consultation with and with the active
involvement of the basin roundtables, specifically including
development of the study scope of work.
(2) The moneys appropriated in subsection (1) of this section shall
remain available for the designated purposes until the project is
completed.";

5) As part of Tom Sharp's motion, if the language in SECTION 14, as prepared,
does not result in the traditional support and affirmation by the Chairs of the
Senate AG Committee and the House AG Committee, then SECTION l4, would
be deleted from the DRAFT 2007 Water Projects Bill;

6) SECTION 16 would be changed to read as:
"SECTION 16. Recreational in-channel diversions and in stream flow
water rights studies - appropriation.
(1) In addition to any other appropriation, there is hereby appropriated,
out of any moneys in the Colorado water conservation board construction
fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Colorado water conservation
board, for the fiscal year beginning, July 1, 2007, the sum of one hundred
fifty thousand dollars ($l50,000), or so much thereof as may be
necessary, for the board to complete studies evaluating how instream
flow water rights and recreational in-channel diversion water rights
