<br />"Satellite monitoring system maintenance - appropriation. <br />(I) In addition to any other appropriation, there is hereby appropriated, <br />out of any moneys in the Colorado water conservation board <br />construction fund not otherwise appropriated, to the department of <br />natural resources for allocation to the division of water resources, for <br />the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2007, the sum of three hundred fifty <br />thousand dollars ($350,000), or so much thereof as may be <br />necessary, for renovation of existing gauging stations, replacement <br />of outdated collection platforms, and upgrading of transmission <br />components of the satellite monitoring system established and <br />operated pursuant to section 37-80-102(10), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes. <br />(2) The moneys appropriated in subsection (1) of this section shall <br />remain available for the designated purposes until they are fully <br />expended. "; <br /> <br />4) SECTION l4 would be changed to read as: <br />"SECTION 14. Colorado water needs and alternatives analysis- <br />appropriation. <br />(I) In addition to any other appropriation, there is hereby appropriated, <br />out of any moneys in the Colorado water conservation board <br />construction fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Colorado water <br />conservation board, for the fiscal year beginning July 1,2007, the <br />sum of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000), or so much thereof <br />as may be necessary, for the board to evaluate water availability in <br />the Colorado River basin and its tributaries, in order to help address <br />the water supply gap between proposed water projects and the total <br />amount of water needed to meet Colorado's future water demands. <br />The Board will work in full consultation with and with the active <br />involvement of the basin roundtables, specifically including <br />development of the study scope of work. <br />(2) The moneys appropriated in subsection (1) of this section shall <br />remain available for the designated purposes until the project is <br />completed."; <br /> <br />5) As part of Tom Sharp's motion, if the language in SECTION 14, as prepared, <br />does not result in the traditional support and affirmation by the Chairs of the <br />Senate AG Committee and the House AG Committee, then SECTION l4, would <br />be deleted from the DRAFT 2007 Water Projects Bill; <br /> <br />6) SECTION 16 would be changed to read as: <br />"SECTION 16. Recreational in-channel diversions and in stream flow <br />water rights studies - appropriation. <br />(1) In addition to any other appropriation, there is hereby appropriated, <br />out of any moneys in the Colorado water conservation board construction <br />fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Colorado water conservation <br />board, for the fiscal year beginning, July 1, 2007, the sum of one hundred <br />fifty thousand dollars ($l50,000), or so much thereof as may be <br />necessary, for the board to complete studies evaluating how instream <br />flow water rights and recreational in-channel diversion water rights <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
