the summer months when the effluent percentage is low, The effluent percentage Is the
percentage of water delivered through the WTP that eventually shows up at the WWTP.
In the summer months, the majority of the water treated and delivered from the WTP is
used for outdoof lawn Irrigation. Because of this. only 35% to 40% Is collected in the
sewer systems and Is delivered to the WWTP. However, in the winter months most of
the water use is indoor, and thus the water used coHects in the sewer system through
sinks, showers, and toilcts. The effluent percentages reach up to 90%. Since Windy
Gap Is fully consumable, using Windy Gap in the winter months maximizes the reusable
component of Windy Gap. There are great effiCiencies to operate the system this way.
Bccause the CBT system has storage, both CBT and Windy Gap water can be
de!iveredyear.round.

Figure 3.3 below shows the total water use from cach water source and Figure 3.4
shows the total surface water versus groundwater use.

FIIlU..3,3-W.t.rUubySouree

fw.....
IT,"MUle.3,'OO".'

Flllur.3."-Sut1.eevsGroundwat..r

""101I_....-<1
T'"MlJH.3,tOO....

('I.a.
