Review of -..Plans:

Sheet 3 of 5: The details showing the reducer fitting for a 16
inch diameter to 24-inches, cut on a bias is not drawn correctly,
unless a very non standard fitting ia to be built. We would
suggest a reducing API elbow may be available that will allow a
welded tap for the air vent may be your best ohoice, We bring up
the issue because the contractor may offer this in lieu of the
special cast fitting,

Sheet 3 of "5: How will the gage system work? The pipe appears to
be buried in the riprap,

Review of SoecificatioQs:

1. Certification Page -
el) The application form has replaced the need for the owner
to acoept the project,

(2) The statement concerning changes need to i"iiclude the
plans or drawings as well.

2. Spec A Pg. 14: When will the Dam Crest Surfacing be placed;
"before or after the final crest elevation 10,725.01

3, Spec G: Quality Assuranoe, It is very good to place a
discussion of the Quality Assurance program here as well as
throughout the speoifications. Is noticed that specifications
inolude discussions of test frequenoies and remedi~s for failure at
eaoh section. We do agree that it is important to i.nform the
contraotor on just what to expect during construction.
