CDM Camp Dresser & McKee Inc.

T. Crumpton (2/2/96)
Page Number 3

Policy), a summary of diversions by these rights and dependence upon
Green Mountain releases was also requested.

d. Finally, the BLM also requested estimates of future depletions to the
Colorado River basin over the next 20 years to supplement the baseline and
year 2045 depletions addressed in the BA This information was submitted
to the BLM on January 29, 1996.

4. Tom Charles (CDM) also incorporated comments from the December 12, BA
review meeting into a revised draft of the document. This will allow the team to
quickly fmalize the document for the BLM after the Green Mountain issue is
resolved.

5. The project team also participated in several telephone conference calls to monitor
progress and make sure that the BLM had all of the necessary information for their
meetings.

Other project activities are expected to resume again soon because the federal government is
expected to be fully operational well into March. Hopefully, a determination by the DOl's
solicitors office will soon be received, so that the BA can be finalized and formally submitted.

Water Resources Technical Memorandum

Work continued on the Water Resources TM during January. It had been intended to complete a
draft of the TM for internal review by the end of January. However, due to the additional efforts
required to respond to BLM requests in support of their BA review, a draft will not be completed
until mid-February.

Alternatives Technical Memorandum

Work has continued during the month of January on the Alternatives TM. This effort has also
been interrupted by other project related activities, but progress has been made in finalizing a first
draft of the memorandum. The alternative comparison cost estimates have been completed along
with alternative descriptions, and background on flow projection, design criteria, and hydraulic
analysis. A fIrst draft is projected for completion and team review in mid-February.

0:\8047-11O\DOC\PRI96.MEM

COM Camp Dresser & McKee
