. .'

CDM Camp Dresser & McKee Inc.

MEMORANDUM

RECEIVED
FEB 0 5 1998

Colorado Waler
Conservation Board

TO: Tom Crumpton - Superintendent of Treatment and Source of Supply

FROM:

Tom Charles - CDM

/.. . ... .
.i .... t' -
'. -, "--../

SUBJECT: Plateau Creek Pipeline - Phase I/Phase II
Project Report (January 1998)

DATE: February 2, 1998

This Project Report summarizes current project status and work accomplished on Phases I and II
of the Plateau Creek Pipeline during the month of January 1998. I have enclosed invoices for
services in the amount of $30,729.97 for Phases I and II which represents CDM, GEl, WWE, and
BBC charges during this period. Total project billings to date are $2,367,109 or 100 percent of
the Contract upper limit (original contract and amendments 1 through 8 included). Please note
that project team charges have exceeded the authorized contract upper limit. Therefore,
this invoice reflects only the differential cost required to raise billed costs to date to the
authorized upper limit (original contract and amendments 1 through 8). If you have
questions or would like more detail, please call.

Our monthly billing summary (attached) highlights the estimated dollars invoiced under the
original contract and each amendment along with the total dollars invoiced to date (which can be
compared with the overall contract upper limit of $2,367,109).

Project Activities:

Board of Directors Meeting (J anuarv 1998)

The CDM project team was represented by Carl Houck (CDM), Steve LaBonde (WWE), and
Steve Jamieson (GEl) at the January Board Meeting. The District's Project Manager noted that
the monthly report was included in the board agenda packets. This was followed by a short
presentation by Steve Jamieson on mitigation measures included in the PElS. He reported that a
meeting was scheduled for Thursday, January 15 with the BLM to discuss any final comments for
inclusion in the PElS. Carl Houck added that the discussion on these mitigation and enhancement
features is necessary at this time because they represent a commitment on the part of the District.
If there is concern over these issues they must be addressed now. Generally the costs of these
measures have been included in the previous estimates included in the DEIS, but much of the
effort represents best management practices addressed during construction with some ongoing
maintenance.

0:\8047-1 1 O\MO-RPl\PROI 98.MEM

COM Camp Dresser & McKee
