<br />~~ <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />Application withdrawn by applicant march 26, 1999 <br /> <br />DRAFT <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: Colorado Water Conservation Board Members <br /> <br />FROM: Bill Green and John Van Sciver <br /> <br />DATE: March 23,1999 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Agenda Item 19a, March 29 - 30, 1999 Board Meeting <br />Silver Heights Water and Sanitation District <br /> <br />Introduction <br /> <br />The Silver Heights Water and Sanitation District (SHWSD) located in Douglas County is applying <br />to the Board for a Small Project Loan of $100,000 for a project which involves the construction of a <br />new deep well in the Arapahoe aquifer. Please see the attached project summary and map. <br /> <br />Backe:round <br /> <br />The District submitted a loan application in March 1999. Hatton Water Consultants of <br />Wheatridge is preparing a feasibility study. Staff will recommend that any loan approval be <br />conditioned upon the completion and acceptance of a feasibility study. The design work for the <br />project is being done by Meurer and Associates. <br /> <br />The Silver Heie:hts Water and Sanitation District <br /> <br />The SHWSD provides water and sewer service to residents of the Silver Heights subdivision which <br />is located in Douglas County about one mile north of Castle Rock. Currently, there are 111 <br />existing customers within the District's 514-acre service area. The District has been in operation <br />since 1958. <br /> <br />The District has the power to set water and sewer rates and the power to set a mill levy on real <br />estate within District boundaries. The SHWSD currently derives all its revenue from water and <br />sewer services fees. <br />
