July 21,2006

From: John Guenzi
12967 Hwy 6
Merino CO 80741

Attn: Vaughn
Colorado Water Conservation Board
1580 Logan Street, Suite 750
Denver, CO 80203

On behalf of Ken, Dave, Eva and myself John Guenzi we are requesting The CWCB
to amend our loan contract C 150 1 74 to remove land The City of Sterling needs to secure
more length to their existing East, West runway for a future expansion at the Crosson
Field Airport in Sterling.
After talking with Tim Feehan about this transaction he told me we needed a Certified
Appraiser to reevaluate the land after the land described in the attached exhibit A was
acquired by the city. The total acres are 24,4 acres leaving 205.59 acres to secure the
loan. The letter written by Bob Pennington on our behalf states that it would still is in
excess of the amount needed.
In closing we feel have met the CWCB's concerns that there is still enough collateral
to secure the original loan and that the loan should be amended.
We appreciate the opportunity that you have given us on this project to allow us to
continue to farm with the ability to produce recharge water for depletions we owe the
South Platte River.

Thanks, John
