I

I

Implementation Schedule

I

The following schedule is proposed for implementation of the
project:

I
I

Task
~Complete Final Design
2. Start Construction
3. Complete Construction
4. Project is Operational

Date
12/01/02
12/09/02
12/27/02
01/01/03

I

Social, Economic, and Physical Impacts

I
I
I

The project will have no significant social impacts.

Although the partners in SLCC will be impacted with costs
associated with their portion of construction and loan repayment,
the project will have a long term positive economic impact by
assuring a more certain source of augmentation for the SLCC farm.
SLCC will also be able to reduce their assessments with GASP and
may have excess augmentation water available to lease for
financial compensation.

I

The project will have no significant physical impacts once
construction is complete. The new wells will occupy a minimal
amount of space down close to the river and the pipe lines from
each well will be buried underground. The recharge ponds will
occupy ground currently used for nothing. This ground will have
setting water part of the year but will return to its current
appearance once the water percolates back into the ground.

I
I

I

Per.mitting

I

All easements and rights of way are being arranged for. Some of
this project will run across adjacent property owners ground.
These neighbors have verbally agreed to allow the needed
easements and rights of way.

I
I
I
I

SLCC expects to be exempt from 404 permitting. This will be
confirmed with the Denver District, Army Corps of Engineers.

Feasibility Study
Stromberger Land & Cattle Co.
Recharge Project
October 2002

9

I

/

o
