The North Poudre <br />Irrigation Company loan increase presented below is less then 20%. <br /> <br />The North Poudre Irrigation Company is requesting an increase of$121,200 to their March 2004 <br />authorization of$614,080, for the rehabilitation of Miner's Lake. The requested loan increase is <br />due to unforeseen cost overruns during construction and easement acquisitions. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />The North Poudre Irrigation Company, located in Larimer County owns and operates Miner's <br />Lake (Reservoir No.1) as an irrigation water storage reservoir for the benefit of its shareholders. <br />The North Poudre Irrigation Company has an office in Wellington, and operates 22 storage <br />reservoirs and approximately 200 miles of ditches. Their service area is located in northeastern <br />Larimer County, north of the City of Fort Collins, extending several miles east ofI-25. The total <br />service area is approximately 42,000 acres of which the North Poudre Irrigation Company <br />provides water for irrigation for approximately 28,000 acres. The irrigated acreage within the <br />service area is primarily used to grow com, sugar beets, soybeans, hay, and feed crops. The <br />Company's average annual delivery is 44,400 acre-feet. The North Poudre Irrigation Company <br />has done considerable rehabilitation work on their system, with the assistance of 8 CWCB loans. <br />The earliest loan dates back to 1982, and the most recent one was approved in 2001. <br />
