These water rights
were purchased from four individuals who irrigated approximately 53 acres in sec. 7, T.23 S.,
R.43 W. The locations of the X-V Ranch and the land parcel associated with these
outstanding interests are shown on the map included with this supplemental report. There will be 0.5 cfs of the water right for the X-V Irrigating Ditch thatTs not
------
owned by LA WMA.

Table 1 shows the water diverted into the X-V Irrigation Ditch under LAWMA's
contemplated ownership of X-V water rights during 1950-94. It was prepared from the
official records of the Colorado Division of Water Resources. These diversions averaged
7,529 acre-feet annually, and ranged from 886 acre-feet in 1965 to 20,590 acre-feet in
1994.

It is noted here that LAWMA's future yield under these water rights should not be
limited by the historical diversions. This is because the historical diversions were affected by
the stream depletions from well pumping. After the well users make replacements to the
river, the yield of Colorado water rights will increase to some extent, and LAWMA should
benefit from this increase in water supply, the same as the other water right owners. The
proper limitations for LAWMA's yield under these water rights should therefore be based on
the full water supply for the 3,079 acres (3,026 acres on the X-V Ranch plus 53 acres
, ---
associated with the outstanding interests) that were irrigated with the water rights.

Table 2 shows the consumptive irrigation requirements for these 3,079 acres during
1950-94. These consumptive irrigation requirements can be defined for the purposes of this
analysis as the amounts of irrigation water that would have been consumed by the crops
assuming sufficient irrigation water was provided so that crop production was not limited by
lack of water. In other words, the consumptive irrigation requirements are essentially the
optimum amounts of evapotranspiration -- crop production would have been limited if less

3
