The existing 36 inch CMP spillway pipe will be removed and replaced
with a smooth wall Interior pipe. A head wall and trash gate will be
constructed on the upstream embankment to minimize the potential for
seepage along the pipe trench and to protect the pipe from debris
blockage.

5. The depression located on the upstream embankment will be excavated
and evaluated. Excavation will be backfilled with suitable compacted
material.

6. A seepage drain blanket will be constructed under the downstream
embankment extending up the abutments and a chimney drain will be
installed between the old embankment and new embankment. A toe
drain will be constructed to collect seepage from the chimney drain,
drain blanket and the abutments.

7. Survey monuments to monitor movement of' the embankment and
piezometers to monitor seepage through the dam will be installed at
several locations along the dam and abutments.

8. The road across the dam will be recon8tru~ted with two 11 foot driving
lanes and 4 foot shoulders for a total paved width of 30 feet.

9. The identified void area will be excavated and backfilled with suitable
compacted material.

EMBANKMENT

Existing Embankment

The existing embankment consists of gravel, cobbley to bouldery, silty to clayey, with
organics noted in the apparent loose fill on the downstream embankment.
