<br />PREVIOUS STUDIES <br /> <br />Previous studies performed for Beaver Reservoir consist of the <br />1940 site investigation and report by the u.s. Bureau of <br />Reclamation, the 1957 design for the dam and appurtenant <br />facilities, the 1971 reservoir blanket design, a geotechnical <br />investigation of the embankment and foundation conducted by WCC in <br />1992-1993, and a feasibility study and report prepared by Woodward- <br />Clyde Consultants in 1993. <br /> <br />The geology report describing the 1940 Bureau of Reclamation <br />investigation is available in the files of the Office of the State <br />Engineer (Merriman, 1940). Information from this report has been <br />incorporated in the WCC geotechnical investigation report. The <br />only available information from the 1957 dam design and the 1971 <br />reservoir blanket design are sets of design drawings which are also <br />in the files of the Office of the State Engineer (BRC, 1957 and BC, <br />1961) . <br /> <br />The geotechnical investigation performed by WCC in October <br />1992 (WCC, 1993) was conducted in accordance with WCC proposal No. <br />92D227P dated June, 1992. The 1993 investigation report and <br />Woodward-Clyde Consultants feasibility study are available in the <br />files of the CWCB. <br /> <br />Page 11 of 15 <br />
