4.0 Coordination Plan

in the past for the North Fork River Improvement Association. The DSCD is a local
government entity with similar goals as NFRIA. Because NFRIA is a community driven
landowner coalition that represents the landowners and the community's interests in
restoration efforts along the North Fork of the Gunnison River they are the appropriate
entity to implement this project. Other cooperating groups or programs include the
following:

~The North Fork Te~hPical Aj:Jvisory Commit~was established in 1997 to assist
NFRIA with technical advice. The committee is made up of representatives of the
USGS, EPA, NRCS, Colorado Div of Wildlife, US Forest Service, BLM, State Soil
Conservation Board, Colorado Water Conservation Board, Army Corps of Engineers,
Bureau of Reclamation, US Park Service, US Fish & Wildlife Service, Colorado State
University, and others. They have proven to be extremely helpful in directing NFRIA
in a streamlined positive direction by pulling together existing data and resources in a
inter-agency collaboration
