Description of the Selected Project: <br /> <br />1. Water Rights: The Project will access 450-600 GPM of <br />geothermal water after it is utilized by the Town's Geothermal <br />Utility. The Town already owns this water but the year round <br />supply of water would entail a transfer to a different well <br />(PS3 or PS5). The members of the pipeline company agree to <br />the transfer, however, if the transfer is not successful the <br />company will provide water for nine months of the year. <br />Please refer to Appendix 2 concerning water rights <br />documentation. <br /> <br />2. Preliminary Design and Layout is shown in Appendix 1. <br /> <br />3. The narrative description of the project is as follows: <br />The project consist of a insulated pipeline, 8 inches on <br />diameter, 1300 feet in length, and having a capacity of at <br />least 600 GPM. The pipeline will start at the existing Town <br />Geothermal Plant. The pipeline will extend east 900 feet <br />through Centennial Park, then south 150 feet across the new <br />footbridge, and then east 250 feet, to the Spa Motel. <br /> <br />5. Cost Estimates: <br /> <br />Planning costs: These costs will be absorbed <br />by the entities cooperating in this Study, and <br />will primarily involve staff time, with no <br />significant out of pocket expense ........ <br /> <br />$0 <br /> <br />Design Costs: The Town is doing the design at <br />no cost to the pipeline Company...... <br /> <br />$0 <br /> <br />Construction Costs: The construction cost <br />estimate was provided by the Town and <br />is. . . . . $55,000 <br /> <br />Construction Contingencies: <br />Stockholders will assist <br />contingencies...... <br /> <br />Town and <br />in providing <br /> <br />$0 <br /> <br />8 <br />
