The City is <br />also actively engaged in protecting the mineral springs within the city. <br />The springs have been an important asset and attraction for the city for <br />more than a century. CurrentlYI the City is in process of developing a <br />watershed protection ordinance with the specific goal of protecting the <br />aquifers of the mineral springs, and it has also entered into an agreement <br />with the Mineral Springs Foundation and the U.S.G.S. to study the springs <br />and their hydrology. <br /> <br />Part B. - Description of the Project <br />1.
